IMO 2027: Charlvon Donates ₦100 Million to Imo Harmony Project

…rallies support for Governor Uzodinma’s Owerri Zone
In a colorful and politically charged fundraising luncheon held by the Imo Harmony Project (IHP), all eyes were on Prince Charls Amadi, popularly known as Charlvon, as he made a bold statement in both words and action—donating a staggering ₦100 million to the group’s advocacy efforts and urging unified support for Governor Hope Uzodimma’s eventual choice of successor from Owerri Zone in the 2027 governorship election.
The event, hosted by IHP under the distinguished leadership of Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho (Rtd), was organized to rally support for the full implementation of the Imo Charter of Equity, which emphasizes equitable power rotation among the three zones of the state—Owerri, Orlu, and Okigwe.
Addressing an audience that included political heavyweights such as Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi (Imo East), Chief Jerry Chukwueke, and Chief Barr. Charles Muruako, the Chairman of the occasion, Sir PGU, welcomed guests and reiterated the purpose of the gathering: to secure political justice for Owerri Zone by ensuring it produces the next governor of Imo State in 2027.
But the highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of Prince Charls Amadi, leader of the powerful OZOPOLF political movement. Accompanied by his Deputy, Secretary-General, and other key members of the OZOPOLF High Command, Charlvon’s presence immediately changed the tempo of the event.
In his speech, Charlvon commended the Imo Harmony Project for pushing forward a cause that aligns with equity and peace. He called on all stakeholders from Owerri Zone to remain focused, united, and supportive of Governor Uzodimma, who he described as the symbol of infrastructural transformation and a man of political balance.
“We at OZOPOLF are fully in support of the Charter of Equity. We believe it’s time for Owerri Zone to take its rightful place. And we trust that Governor Hope Uzodimma, a man of fairness and foresight, will lead this transition in 2027,” he stated.
Prince Amadi, in what many described as a selfless declaration, firmly quashed speculations about his personal political ambition.
“Let me be clear: I am not running for governor, and I am not going to contest for the Senate. My only ambition is to see an Owerri son or daughter sworn in as Governor of Imo State in 2027. That, for me, would be my proudest political achievement. God has blessed me already; now I want to be a blessing to the cause of justice.”
He appealed to all political leaders, youth groups, traditional rulers, and opinion molders from Owerri Zone to put aside their differences and speak with one voice. He also extended a hand of fellowship to the people of Orlu and Okigwe zones, reminding them of the long-standing partnership they’ve shared with OZOPOLF.
“To our brothers in Orlu and Okigwe, we’ve worked together over the years. Now, we ask for your support to actualize the turn of Owerri Zone in 2027. Let us return Imo State to a peaceful and fair rotation of power, where every zone feels included and respected.”
The grand moment of the day came when Prince Amadi announced a jaw-dropping ₦100 million donation on behalf of OZOPOLF to the Imo Harmony Project. The hall erupted in cheers, with guests rising to their feet in a standing ovation. His donation, the largest of the event, became the emotional and symbolic climax of the day—demonstrating not just financial commitment but a deep moral investment in the cause of justice.
The event ended on a high note, with renewed calls for unity, purpose, and support for Governor Uzodimma as he prepares to guide the process of succession in 2027.
With this move, Charlvon has once again positioned himself not just as a political kingmaker but as a father figure whose legacy may well be tied to the emergence of an Owerri Zone governor—bringing balance and fairness to Imo’s political landscape.
